Steam & Vintage Rally

How do I get to the site?

In Stradbally, follow the signs for general Carpark/Entry. The entrance is located along the Abbeyleix road.

Yes, weekend camping is available from Friday to Tuesday inclusive. Tickets must be purchased in advance.Β 

Follow the signs in the town for General Camping. The entrance is located along the Timahoe Road.

Yes, we have parking available on site. The entrance to the carpark is located on the Abbeyleix road.Β 

No, unfortunately we do not accept carers discount at this time.Β 

Yes we have showers available onsite in the mornings and evenings at an additional cost.Β 

Yes, our event is dog friendly however, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.Β 

We accept exhibits of vintage cars, tractors, oil engines, motor bikes, Model T’s and lorrys.Β 

Yes we have amusements for children and adults alike and live music on the main stage throughout the evening.Β Β 

Our very own Steamin’ Brews CafΓ© is open and located at the railway, there are also a number of food and beverage vendors throughout the field. SuperValu is also only a short walk from the rally field.Β Β

Stradbally Woodland Railway

How long are my tickets valid for?

Tickets are valid for the full running day, from 11am to 4pm. The last train departs at 3.40pm. Tickets are valid for multiple trips on the same day.

There are toilets and baby changing facilities, picnic benches and our Steamin’ Brews cafΓ© stocking teas, coffees, soups and a wide range of confectionery. The site is fully wheelchair accessible.

The train journey is approx. 12mins. The track is a 1km loop through the woodlands.

Yes, the train is fully accessible.

Tickets are available online up the the day before and in person in the shop on the day.

Yes dogs are permitted on site once they remain on a lead at all times.

Our Diesel locomotive Rusty runs from 11am to 12pm and our Steam Engine Roisin runs from 12pm to 4pm.

Yes we have parking available within walking distance of the train.

The Santa Train

Do I get a gift with my ticket?

Each child’s ticket comes with a gift from Santa. Please note teen tickets do not include a gift.

You are welcomed into the railway and brought to the train. After your journey through the woodlands you are brought down to our Santa Village where there are plenty of photo opportunities and our Steamin Brews CafΓ© to grab a hot drink or sweet treat.

Our elves take your family photo in the grotto with Santa. Please note we do not allow your own photography inside the Grotto but there are plenty of photo opportunities for your own pictures outside in the Santa Village.

The experience is approx. 45 mins long.

Yes, our train has a capacity so people would arrive.
