LM335 Joins the Stradbally Fleet

LM335, a 1980 Hunslet Wagonmaster built for Bord na MΓ³na, served Ireland’s peat railways for over 40 years and joined the Stradbally Woodland Railway in 2024 after its retirement.

LM167: A Lifetime on the Tracks

LM167, a 1956 Ruston locomotive, laid the first rails on the Coolnamona System and now serves Stradbally’s track maintenance fleet after its preservation and restoration by ISPS.

β€œRusty”: The Workhorse of Stradbally

β€œRusty,” a 1952 Ruston locomotive, has been the backbone of operations at Stradbally since 1990, celebrating 73 years of hard work and heritage in 2025.

The ISPS is restoring the 1936 Fowler β€œVillage Rambler” traction engine, a unique piece of Irish steam heritage that has been out of operation for 25 years, with plans to return it to full working order.
